Grand Junction – CLUB 20 will host their bi-annual 2016 Fall Conference and Candidate Debates on September 9th and 10th at Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction. Candidates from each state and federal race within CLUB 20’s 22-county region have been invited to participate in this biannual event.

Just confirmed is Trump Representative Congressman Kevin Cramer of North Dakota. Congressman Cramer serves on the House Natural Resources Committee and the Science, Space and Technology Committee. Natural Resources Committee Chairman Doc Hastings appointed Kevin Cramer to three sub-committees including Energy and Mineral Resources, Public Lands and Environmental Regulation and Indian and Alaska Native Affairs. Congressman Cramer also serves on the subcommittee on Energy which has jurisdiction over such science as hydraulic fracturing and clean coal technologies and as Vice-Chairman of the Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight, which has general and special investigative authority on all matters within the jurisdiction of the full-committee.

Congressman Cramer also serves along with Rep. Bill Owens (NY-21) as Co-Chairman of the Northern Border Caucus, fostering continued growth in the U.S.-Canada relationship.

Congressman Cramer joins CLUB 20 representing the Donald Trump campaign for United States President and will be speaking to the group about the future and vision Mr. Trump has for our country. He will be speaking from 8:30-9:30 pm on Saturday evening at Two Rivers Convention Center.

“Now, more than ever before, it is imperative to engage with our elected officials so we have a voice in shaping the landscape of the Western Slope, both literally and figuratively,” said CLUB 20 Executive Director, Christian Reece.”The issues we are facing as a region, a state and a nation have far reaching implications and it is vital that Western Colorado leaders be strong advocates on behalf of the needs of Western Colorado communities.”

CLUB 20’s Fall Conference and Candidate Debates will be held on September 9th and 10th. The Fall Conference is a great place for members, guests and the public to meet local, state and federal elected and appointed officials. The CLUB 20 Executive Committee and Board of Directors conduct their fall organizational meeting and review resolutions submitted for consideration by the CLUB 20 Policy Committees throughout the day on September 9th. During the evening of September 9th, CLUB 20 will host our annual Steak Fry located at Cross Orchards Living History Museum (3073 F Rd, Grand Junction, CO). The CLUB 20 Steak Fry is THE West Slope event of the year-don’t miss it!

On Saturday, September 10, CLUB 20 will host debates for each Western Colorado House and Senate district race. Saturday evening debates include the US Senate candidates, candidates for the 3rd Congressional District, a debate on Amendment 69-A Statewide Universal Healthcare initiative, and a presentation from Congressman Cramer. Be sure to mark your calendar and join us to learn about what these candidates have in mind for Colorado’s future.
